High Five for Friday: Different, Way Different

Let's start with husband related things:

1. I woke up a few mornings ago (after hitting snooze literally 7 times) to find all our dishes done! Miles had gotten up early and instead of reading chose to wash a mountain of dishes that we were too tired to do the night before. Good husband points = scored.

2. I'm getting my hair cut today! This picture was in the pile o' contenders for what I was going for but I decided to go with something a little different. Yesterday while I was getting ready I told Miles, with great excitement mind you, "I'm getting my hair cut tomorrow!" His response: "....Cool." That's it.

Let's contrast this with how this statement would've been received the house of 6 girls I just moved out of: Millions of questions about length, layers, style, etc. Things like "Do you have a picture?!" or "Is it just a trim? Gosh, my split ends are soooo bad. Maybe I should go with you." would've been said. Heck, there might have even been squealing involved if the picture is a big change. But not with a man. You'll probably get a "...Cool." or "...Alright." Y'all, let it be known, let it be written, that living with a man is different than living with 6 girls. You can share that nugget. I'm here to provide you with profound insight. You're welcome.

3. It's freezing. Remedy: hot tea on a chilly afternoon. Perfection.

4. I roasted pumpkin seeds for the first time ever! More about that one later.

5. D:
I got my obligatory mess-dinner-up-'cause-I'm-recently-married-and-that's-what-I'm-supposed-to-do moment out of the way last night. It looks awesome, but then again looks can be deceiving. Also, shamefully, more on that later. (Luckily Miles still thought it was awesome.)
